Note that a faulty injector can cause damage to the glow plug electrode.
Therefore if injector problems have been experienced, the condition of the glow plugs on indirect injection engines should be inspected.

Injector nozzle condition is critical to good engine opertion and for this reason the injectors should periodically be tested. The syptoms of dirty or worn injectors include smoky (black) exhaust, loud knocking noises from the engine, lack of power, overheating, misfiring & increased fuel comsumption.
